What is Puush?
Puush is a new screenshot utility I just came across and has made my life just that much simpler! Puush gives you the ability to instantly upload screenshots and files to your account and provides you with a shortened url to give your friends. You can set your uploaded items to default to private use or pubic. Works for both Windows and Mac.
Use keyboard shortcuts or drag-drop gestures to quickly capture any portion of your screen or upload any file. These files are near-instantly puush’d, leaving behind a short URL in your clipboard, perfect for sharing. Paste these easily into your Twitter, IRC or IM clients. Share them with the world or make them private, for your eyes only.
Options
Below are the options of the client installed on your machine. Plenty of options to play with.
Web Interface
The web interface could be improved a bit but I’m sure that will only be a matter of time. Since I’ve been using it I’ve rarely used it. It works great when you just took a screenshot and need to make it private or just delete it. Once you start exceeding 20+ photos Its hard to determine which ones you may need to keep or delete unless you just took them. They do get posted with a date and time so that does help.
Storage/Pricing
With your free account they give you 200mb to work with. That’s still quite a few screenshots. I enabled the high quality option PNG instead of jpeg. On my desktop each shot averaged 100-150KB. So if your not familiar with the conversions their are 1024kb in 1mb. So 200mb x 1024kb = 204800kb
So if I averaged 150kb a screenshot how many could I get into a free account? Roughly 1,365. (204800kb ÷ 150 = 1365.333) That’s plenty of storage if all your using this service is for screenshots! Heck if you don’t think thats enough $15/yr will buy you unlimited storage so you could animate all your shots ha
